Eustace returns to Narnia with his schoolmate Jill Pole. Aslan charges Eustace and Jill to find the lost prince Rillian and gives them signs they must follow to succeed.
In The Silver Chair, Lewis examines man's relationship to Christ. The characters never really develop. Lewis has the characters change only to show how men can be distracted from their faith, suffer the effects, and then choose to return to the faith.
The story still serves as a good children's tale, but was not as effective to me since Lewis brought the allegory so close to the surface.
