A cute, feel-good movie about Gwen Cummings (Sandra Bullock), an alcoholic and drug abuser, who must face her addictions and turn her life around. Gwen ruins her sister's wedding and gets arrested for driving while intoxicated. She must serve 28 days in a rehabilitation center or go to jail. The story runs along predictably: Gwen denies she has a problem, has a crisis, admits her problem, makes reconciliation with her sister, dumps the boyfriend that promoted her addictive behavior, and makes new friends.

You don't see any remarkable performances or go through any emotional highs or lows, but you do end up with a warm-fuzzy feeling, hoping for the best as Gwen starts her sober life.
